New: Closing seam technology - when beginning out Aluula projects, we wanted to be sure that our seams were the strongest on the market and had no failures. This seam had a 0% failure rate but came with some added weight. This year we have worked hard to produce a seam that is not only just as strong, but significantly lighter. We have saved a lot of weight here and what you will also feel is a kite that twists slightly better, giving a lighter bar feel and faster turning.
New: Aeris struts - A brand new material from Aluula, FA74 Aeris, has been utilized in the struts for a better feel and lighter weight construction. This contributes to the overall 300g loss in weight from the previous model.
New: SK99 bridle lines - These super high end lines from Braidtech have been utilized on the bridle system for lower stretch and a more aerodynamic flight. Not only are they better through the sky, but during water relaunch they cut through the surface tension better, enhancing your low wind water relaunch capability.
New: TPU strut bumpers – The TPU bumpers have been used on the struts to protect your kite from unwanted wear and tear. This year they are lighter than ever before and tougher, allowing us to remove Dacron from the strut head further increasing weight loss for an overall more responsive package.
New: Profiles - a new profile has been adopted into the Pivot this year for a more efficient flight. We have been sure to not lose any lift in the kite or increase back stall through thorough testing of these profiles. Overall, what you will feel is a kite that wants to move through the sky easier, while still providing great lift in jumps and low wind conditions.
